First few days in Bangkok

Well the 11 and a half hour flight wasn't the best I've had... I just couldn't get comfortable! But the food was tasty and usual good choice of films, I watched Despicable Me. Me and Isabella landed in Bangkok airport at about 4pm local time (9am UK time)

We hopped on a coach to Khao San Road, and by the time we had found the hotel and got settled it was about about 8pm, so we went for a walk to find a place to eat. Khao San Road is really lively with lots of live bands playing in the bars.

The first night in the hotel was warm and quite noisy but I can sleep through pretty much anything. It's basic but what do you expect for for 520 Baht per night! (roughly £10 for the both of us!) We didn't realise but breakfast was included in the price of the room too! So I had an omelette and Isabella had fruit and toast. Our first day in Bangkok we thought we would have a bit of a wander and check out some temples, we did get a bit lost... more than once! But the taxis are so cheap we just flagged one down and got taken to Wat Arun for the equivalent of about one pound!
